I’d like to offer a warm welcome to the new Optimal Runner blog. I am launching this running blog to share my excitement and experience about running in order to help others reach their goals and dreams! I chose the name Optimal Runner because it reflects my data-driven approach to running. Working as a data analyst, this naturally flows over to my running mentality, as I look for the best and most efficient ways to get my body to the finish line. I love all the little details that go into making it to race day.
My goal is to provide at least a couple posts per month, but I won’t force the issue just to post content that I don’t think will be useful. So, what will my posts be about? Most will be focused on the daily grind of training (training concepts, common problems, running inefficiencies, etc.) In addition, I will post my analysis on current events in the running world. I hope to be informative, interesting, and to provide you with the framework for hitting your next PR! As you can see, there isn’t much on the blog as of now. However, in the next few months, I will be adding several new and exciting things! Things to look for:
- Training Plan Reviews – Analyzing the popular training plans on the market to help you select the optimal one based on your goals.
- Interactive Training Log Templates – The key to data-driven optimization is to be able to see and understand all the data from your training. These advanced templates will help take you to the next level.
- Race reviews – Reflections from past races to give you all the info you need to find the optimal race for a PR!
- Product reviews – My thoughts on various running products (there are a lot!) and whether they help you or not
- And much more!
