Flying Pig Marathon Training Week 15 Recap

Only 3 weeks to go until @runflyingpig day! Finally reached the final week before hitting the taper. Coming off a race last weekend, I eased into the week and ended with my longest run of the training season. Super excited to wind down over the next couple weeks and get ready for race day!

Daily Recaps:

â—¾ Monday: Rest Day

â—¾ Tuesday: Cruised around Mason at around 7:00 pace for 9 miles. Was really nice out and enjoyed exploring some new neighborhoods. Still a little sore for the half marathon on Saturday.

â—¾ Wednesday: Another week of running with the 84.51 running group before work. Nice and relaxed 8 miles with friends.

â—¾ Thursday: With the Pig being a hilly race, I picked a hilly route to run close to race pace for 10 miles. Combined with it being 80 degrees after work it was a tough one. Was very exhausted after from all the hills and heat.

â—¾ Friday: Very easy 6 miles to recover from the hilly tempo

â—¾ Saturday: Joined the Mojo group downtown for the @fleetfeetcincy 20:12 Celebration run. Had a great time running a large portion of the Pig course! Felt good for 21 miles even with the warmer temps.

â—¾ Sunday: Rest Day
