Flying Pig Marathon Training Week 7 Recap

Had to change a few things around this week due to a busy weekend. Overall a good week with my longest run since 2022 Boston!

Daily Recaps:

â—¾ Monday: 7 miles of hills at a moderate pace of 7:18 min/mi. Stayed relaxed and didn’t push too hard.

â—¾ Tuesday: Tuesday Intervals featured the longest amount of speed yet. Did 5x1mi intervals with a quarter mile of jogging between reps. Averaged 6 flat pace for each rep, which I was really happy about!

â—¾ Wednesday: Easy miles to recover from 2 days of harder runs. Got to join my running group at work for 8 easy miles around Northern Kentucky.

â—¾ Thursday: Typically Thursday is my Marathon Pace Run day, but with moving my long run up a day, I kept the run shorter and easier. Felt smooth and relaxed even at the 7:19 moderate pace.

â—¾ Friday: Wasn’t able to run Saturday, so moved my long run up a day. Typically my long runs are at a comfortable pace, but got after it today with a 3x3mi workout inside of 18 total miles. Averaged just under 6:40 pace for the 9 miles of speed while also climbing almost 1k feet during the run. Was a great workout to cap out the week!

â—¾ Saturday: Rest

â—¾ Sunday: Rest
