Week 3 of Flying Pig Marathon Training!

Back to a full week of training after a shortened week last week. Building my way to getting into the 50’s for weekly mileage in a few weeks. Staying healthy is the main focus right now as I build into my training.

Daily Recaps:

◾ Monday: Didn’t hit up quite as many hills as my previous 2 Monday runs, but managed a few hundred feet of gain with a pace down in the 7:20’s. Good start to the week.

◾ Tuesday: Back to the workout plan today. Today’s workout consisted of cut-down intervals. 10 minute warmup, then jumped into intervals.
2 miles: 12:04
1 mile: 5:46
800m: 2:49
400m: 1:19
Wind made it tough today, but definitely enjoyed those wind-aided sections.

◾ Wednesday: Made it to work in time to join the work running group for a little over 8 easy miles. Fun times with the group exploring Northern Kentucky as the sun came up.

◾ Thursday: Back to the Thursday Threshold runs. Overall made it 8 miles with an average of 6:57 per mile. Very windy out there, with my route making the last couple miles tough.

◾ Friday: Had ran a few more miles on Wednesday than originally planned so opted to rest today instead of running a couple easy miles.

◾ Saturday: Long Run with Mojo RC. Knocked out 14 steady miles at around 7:50 pace with the group. Kept the HR steady and felt great. Looking forward to another week!

◾ Sunday: Rest Day & WHO DEY! 🐅
