Flying Pig Marathon Training Week 13 Recap

Just a couple weeks left of hard training before getting to the taper. Mileage was a little lower this week with an unplanned rest day on Friday due to the heavy storms. About a month to go!

Daily Recaps:

â—¾ Monday: Steady run with some rolling hills. Pretty average run for a Monday. 7:23 average pace.

â—¾ Tuesday: Lengthened the intervals today and did a downward ladder workout. 2 mile, 1 mile, 800m, 400m was the workout today with a jog in between equal to a quarter of the previous interval. Hit some solid times!

â—¾ Wednesday: Easy 8 miles with my running group before work. Was very foggy in some spots, but then perfectly clear. Solid morning run.

â—¾ Thursday: Opening day in Cincinnati for the Reds! The @reds may have lost, but it was a beautiful day and the city was alive. Cruised along Riverside for 10 miles at 6:40 pace.

â—¾ Friday: Rest day due to heavy rains and storms in the area

â—¾ Saturday: Another long run featuring the wind. Ended with 17 at 7:19 pace. Overall was a good run, with the final couple miles straight into the teeth of 40mph+ wind gusts!

â—¾ Sunday: Rest Day
